Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree

Giving back during Christmas is big this Holiday season. Isn't that what Christmas is all about? Its not about presents, its about family and helping those in need. Here are only a few out of the many opportunities to give back to your community:
1. Starbucks Red- All You Need is Love
Starbucks is teaming up with RED in the fight against Aids in Africa. It's as simple as buying one of the RED products- a portion of their profits to Global Fund- financed Aid programs.
2. Feed My Starving Children
Local Churches are doing packaging events to feed children in Africa. They give them the basics- chicken, veggies, soy, and rice. 1 meal packet can feed up to 6 kids. Feed My Starving Children is a non- profit Christian organization. I was able to attend one at my church and in one night we packaged 73,000- enough to feed 205 kids every single day for 1 year.
3. Angel Trees
Angel Trees are located everywhere in your community, but you will most likely find some at your local grocery store or at the mall. It as simple as this, pick out a card from the tree, buy something that the children need or want, then turn it in.
